Blog 18 - Creative camera use

This shot was filmed by a hand held camera in the point of view of the actress, this was different from the rest of the video. We chose to do this so we can emphasise how the drugs were affecting her and making her feel (unsteady on her feet). In this shot we used the effect of layering which we produced during the editing stages of filming. We had to film different shots of the actress in different postitions, then we layered the two pieces of footage and created a shot that had 2 of the same character. We liked this shot as we created a different form of lighting, although the video is based around a music video, the natural background lighting made the 2 characters sillouettes stand out and create a different shot compared to the others in the video.
In this shot we didn't intentionally mean to create a 'blurry' effect, but it worked in our favour as it represents the drugs effecting her sight.
